Wilting Sunflowers by 5th grade

I have posted this same lesson in the past, but they come out so beautiful every year. So again, here are some oil pastel flowers done by my 5th grade students. One of my favorite lessons each year.

Funky Fourth Grade Flowers!

I love the uniqueness off all these flowers. They are inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's close up flowers. The students had fun designing and painting their flowers.
Check them out!

Big Colorful Sunflowers! by Second Grade

For this artwork, instead of using traditional sunflower colors, the students got to choose whichever colors they liked to paint in their big 12" x 18" sunflowers! Here are some of the finished pieces.

Fall Reflections in First Grade

I love to do this reflection lesson with my first grade artists every year. They are so bright and beautiful! To achieve the reflection, they fold the paper and press it together after they paint each item. You can't wait until the end to fold over because the paint dries and will not transfer over.
Here are some examples of their finished work.

Kindergarten Sunflowers

I always start off my year with many sunflower art lessons. Here are some finished artwork from my 2014-2015 K2 class. Love these big 12" x 18" crayon resist sunflowers!

Lots of Art

Even though I did not have as many posts last year, the students completed many art lessons this past year. With the new year starting in less than a month, I feel the need to post some for last year's work before beginning a new year.
That being said, here is a glimpse of our year of art...we did even more but this is a sample of some lessons.
